She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Peterson and Leota Peterson (Jensen); her husband Ralph "Pete" Zurliene; her brother Alvy Peterson; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Peterson and Jerry McReynolds.

She is survived by: her sisters, Dorothy McReynolds of Ohio, Christine Dale (Alan) of Walnut and Janelle Barton (Gail) of Wyanet, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Julie Ioder, Matt Dale, Sherri Thacker (Mike), Brandon Barton (Ryane), Bekah Johnson (Kyle) and Sarah Clark (Zach); her stepdaughters, Linda Jesse and Vicki Sharp; and her friend Karen Lauritzen.
