He was predeceased by: his parents, Oral C. Hudson and Eva E. Hudson (Flynn); his wife Dolores DuMontelle; his brothers, Gene and Jim Hudson; and his children-in-law, Linda McKay and Larry Padgett.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bob" McKay, Christine Padgett of Bourbonnais, Cathy Meltzer of Bradley, Elizabeth Statler (Steve) of St. Anne and Janine Passmore (Gary) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Jason, Brent, Devin, Brad, Tara, Collin, Adam, Kensley, Emerson, Erin, Liam, Tanner and Tammy; and his siblings, Sandra Brakebill (Gordon), William Hudson (Carolyn) and Phillip Hudson (Diane). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
