He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Stalter and Lucile Stalter (Cox). He is survived by: his wife Janice Kates; his children, Laurence Bruce Stalter (Dorene) of Princeton and Lisa Baltikauski (Mark) of Spring Valley; his grandchildren, Melisa Holding, Matthew Stalter (Samantha), Brandon, Ryan Myres, Aaron and Starla Baltikauski; his sisters, Sharon Eubank, Janice Sash and Sue Ellen Dyer; and the mother of his children Beverly Schneider. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Grand Ridge Methodist Church, Grand Rapids Cemetery Association, or the donors choice.
