He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris De and Emma Van De (Tillie); and his sister Carolyn Kopp. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Drawyer; his daughters, Lisa Erickson (Glen) of Ashton and Tina Burns (Tom) of Princeton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Patrick, Katie Erickson, Sara and Emily Burns; and his great grandchildren, Killean and Josephine.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
