She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion "Bud" and Elinor Swanson (Wilson). She is survived by: her husband Fred Pierson; her sons, Mark Pierson (Pam) of Princeton, Alan Pierson (Sue) of Somonauk, Tim Pierson (Erika) of Dwight and Steve Pierson (Rebecca) of North Hills, Calif.; and her grandchildren, Zachary Pierson of California, Ian Pierson of Chicago, Samantha Peterson (Tim) of Nashville and Leland Pierson (Adline Pierson) of Chicago.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
