He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris E Viernow and Marguerite Priester Viernow; his son Jon; and his granddaughter Maggie Hinrichs. He is survived by: his children, Jane Anne (Shannon Hinrichs) and Matthew Evan (Melissa Bollaert); his wife Janice Irene Christensen; and his siblings, Joe (Sharon Martin), Roger (Tami Lambert) and Janet (Steve Erickson). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in care of Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
