She was predeceased by: her father Harry; her husband William "John" Swanson; and her sister Dorothy Fox. She is survived by: her children, Wes Swanson of Preemption and Lisa Swanson of Milan; her grandchildren, Timothy Schrock (Shasta) of Moline, Sarah Anne Lippold (Brett) of Stanwood and Andrew Schwerdtfeger of North Port, Alabama; and her siblings, Harry Petty of Milan, Harvey Petty of Goodfield, Jerry Petty of Rock Island, Illinois and Trudy Amidon of Milan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fippinger Funeral Home (401 S College Ave, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Fur-Ever Friends for Mercer County.
