It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin J Schwartz of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, who passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Schwartz and Fern Schwartz; and his siblings, Delmar Schwartz (Imogene), Wilbur "Wib" Schwartz (Pat) and Evelyn Schwartz.
He is survived by: his wife Verona Schwartz Prairie; his children, Michael Schwartz Prairie (Janet), Rocher, Mark Schwartz Prairie (Nancy), Sandra Schwartz and Steve (Chris); his grandchildren, Travis Schwartz (Taylor), Taylor Grimm (Luke), Danny Schwartz (Jessica), Matt Schwartz, Tommy Schwartz (Kayla), Christopher Schwartz, Jason Schwartz, Ashlee Nanney (Lucas), Brooke McKinney (Devin), Kaley Ludwig, Rachel Conway (Tim), Ryan Liefer (Chelsea) and Katie Poenitske (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Garrett Grimm, Zella Schwartz, Cora Schwartz, Jordan Schwartz, Hailey Schwartz, Kendall Nanney, Morgan Nanney, Karson Nanney, Cade McKinney, Ellie McKinney, Colson Stewart, Chloe Conway, Cooper Conway and Logan Liefer; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ann. He is also survived by Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
