He was predeceased by: his parents, Xavier Francis and Christine Melliere; his wife Judith "Judy" V. Garleb; his sister Fay Kueker; and his brothers-in-law, Leroy Garleb and Louis Biernbaum.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Wilson Prairie (Mark), Sandra (Mark) and Roger Melliere Prairie (Christina); his siblings, Joy (Bob) and Ronald (Jeanette); his siblings-in-law, Delbert Kueker Prairie, Pat and Donna Garleb; his grandchildren, Cynthia Wilson, Tiffany Stellhorn (Andrew), Kenneth Wilson (Samantha), Andrew Ottoson, Ashley Ottoson, Cassidy Cowell (Kyle) and Austin Melliere (Nadia Bowling); and his great grandchildren, Cailyn Wilson, Abby, Ellie Stellhorn, Kade Cowell, Isabella Wilson and Xavier Melliere. He is also survived by Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (2033 Kaskaskia Rd, Renault, IL 62279). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
