He is survived by: his wife Sherry Reynolds Shumate of Potomac, IL; his children, Tammy Pratt of Danville, IL and Jeremy Shumate (Cindy) of Oakwood, IL; and his stepdaughter Tammy Mock of Kalamazoo, MI. He is also survived by seven grandsons, four granddaughters, three great-grandsons and two great granddaughters.
