It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon B. Riewerts of Port Byron, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Cherry and Bernice Cherry; and her sister Vicky Frommelt. She is survived by: her husband Paul Riewerts; her daughters, Jaime Riewerts Budziak (Chase Budziak) and Jillian Nelson (Jonathan Nelson); and her grandchildren, Fiona Long, Daphne Long, Scarlett Young and Cash Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Riverdale Education Foundation to create a scholarship fund where Sharon invested in the lives of so many students and helped them find a place to belong.
