He was predeceased by: his grandfather George Kerr; his aunt Rhonda Geiger; and his cousin Chad Vroman. He is survived by: his mother Kristin "Kris" Geiger; his wife Nichole Palmer-Geiger; his son Kamden Palmer; his father Mike Kerr of Port Byron; his grandparents, Fred, Pat Geiger of Port Byron and Ida Kerr of Cordova; and his parents-in-law, Marty and Monia Palmer of Bettendorf, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275).

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a college fund to be established for his son Kamden.

“Scott's family I have no words to share. I remember when Kris and I were both tearful when Scott and my son went off to college. I Rember the day Kris and I talked about Scott getting married to a wonderful woman and she was to have grandson. I am sorry for his passing. I know he loved life and people. He will be missed.”
