It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Christine Leighty of Port Byron, Illinois, born in Lancaster, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard "Dick" Leighty and Zelma "Nell" Leighty (Leppla); her brothers, Richard Leighty and Randy Leighty; and her close friend Jeanne Walker.
She is survived by: her pet Blue; her son Seth Leighty of Port Byron, IL; her aunts, Charlotte Lange (Bob) of Potosi, WI and Susie Wilhelm of Oregon, WI; her nieces, Sarina, Elizabeth, Hollie and Jessica; her granddaughters, Makayla and Lola; her close friends, Jerry Walker, Deb Porter, Christi Whitbecksteiner, Irene Pickron, John Ditto and Julie Marchese; and her friend William Helgason.
