The passing of Rosemary Wainwright of Port Byron, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard DeJaegher and Margaret DeJaegher (VanWatermeulen); and her half-siblings, Louise DeCook and Leon Hazelbrock. She is survived by: her husband Gary Wainwright; her children, Shelley Groves (John) and Ken Wainwright (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Tori Roberts (Brandon), Megan Buboltz (Aaron), Carter, Emma and Owen Wainwright; and her great grandchildren, Brynlee, Boston and Emmett.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Riverdale Education Foundation or Unity Point Hospice.
