He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce MacGowan and Evelyn MacGowan (Maxson); his wife Barbara Jean MacGowan; his son Eugene Ritchie; his great grandchild Parker Ott; and his sister Barbra Roby.
He is survived by: his former wives, Kathy Wagner and Patricia Behm; his children, Carolyn Ford (John) of Wilton, IA, Pamela Snell (Richard) of Geneseo, IL, James Ritchie (Deb) of The Villages, FL, Charles Ritchie (Tori) of The Villages, FL and David Behm (Terry) of Eldridge, IA; his daughter-in-law Michele Ritchie of The Villages, FL; his grandchildren, Kasey Ott (Paul) of Marble Rock, IA, Justin Ford (Yesenia) of Muscatine, IA and Dustin Ritchie (Erin); and his brother Ronald MacGowan of East Moline, IL.. He is also survived by his family, all six of "his" children, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
