He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Keppy, and Lorraine R. Keppy, Jr. (Kraft); and his parents-in-law, Larry and Faith Ann Paulsen. He is survived by: his wife Lori Paulsen; his children, Collin Keppy (Ashley) of Port Byron, Mitchell Keppy (Taylor) of Port Byron and Kara Keppy (James Turkal) of Port Byron; his brother Loren Keppy (Jeantee) of Durant, IA; and his grandchildren, Payton, Charlotte and Nora Keppy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riverdale Education Foundation to fund a scholarship in Myron's name.

“To one of the most important people in my life, Coach Keppy not only was one of the best people I have ever met but was a great mentor and friend. his love of wrestling, football and all things sport were infectious. We were lucky to have such an amazing, caring person that was there for our most confusing teen age years with himself only being 8 years older than most of us. without Keppy in my life, I don't believe that we would have found Sucess, He will be missed Chad Seams class of 91”
