He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Tessendorf and Genevieve Tessendorf (Brown); and his brothers, Edward and Larry Tessendorf. He is survived by: his wife Tammie; his children, Dawn Witt (Tom), Josephine Zelinski (David), Troy Tessendorf (Beth), Michael II Tessendorf (Jade) and William Tessendorf (Alyssa); his grandchildren, Julia, Samantha, Autumn, April, Austin, Michael III, Hunter, Avery, Carson, Ciara, Guy and Eden; his brothers, James Tessendorf (Lucy) and Terry Tessendorf; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Tessendorf and Midge Tessendorf.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Rock Island National Cemetery (118 Rodman Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
