It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda K. Melby of Port Byron, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Degeeter and Shirley Degeeter (Ingwers); and her brothers, Chuck Southwick and Mike Southwick. She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Sachau (Rick Durey) of Port Byron, IL and Tiffany Dzekunskas (Brad) of Moline, IL; her siblings, Gary Kespohl (Nikki) of Milan, IL, Casey Kespohl (Bonnie) of Minneapolis, MN and Deborah Snave (Ronald Voorhies) of Davenport, IA; her sister-in-law Linda Southwick; and her grandchildren, Brock Dzekunskas and Brynn Dzekunskas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Linda Kay Melby Fund to be distributed amongst local charities.
