With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce L. Nitz (Port Byron, Illinois), who passed away on August 27, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Ragan and Nora Ragan. She is survived by: her husband John L. Nitz; her children, Steven Nitz, Michael Nitz and Terri Lynn Nitz; her daughter-in-law Becky Nitz; her siblings, Donald, Lola, Dorothy, Inez, Frances, Betty and Helen; her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Nitz Evers and Curt Hight; her daughter-in-law Cindy Nitz; and her grandchildren, Steven Nitz, Jr., Jonathan Nitz, Christopher Nitz (Alyssa), Melissa Blackman (Ryan) and Abigail Smith (Jason). She is also survived by grandkids; one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
