It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Dale Leighty of Port Byron, Illinois, born in Platteville, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leighty and Vivian Leighty (Allen); and his brothers, Larry and Michael Leighty. He is survived by: his wife Chris Weimer; his brother Allen (Kay); his sister-in-law Rita Leighty; his children, Robert Leighty, Eddie Leighty, Kenny Leighty and Tobi Baker; and his grandchildren, Boston, William, Jessica, Edward, Rebecca, Christine, Nicholas and Johnny. He is also survived by several nieces and great grandchildren.
