He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hill and Mabel Hill (Haskins); his son Mark Hill; and his sister Maxine Pettit. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Archer; his daughters, Julie Rodman (David) of Port Byron, IL, Teresa Womac (Troy) of Rockford, IL and Rhonda Kottmer (Jody) of Colona, IL; and his sisters, Darlene Ward and Shirley Copeland. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
