She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Mose Sr. and Florence J. Mose (Enright); her husband Melvin Smith; and her siblings, Walter Mose Jr., Donna M. Griffith and Roland Mose.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey M. Smith (Juli) and Betsy S. Schumacher (Charles) of New Albany, OH; her grandchildren, Michael P. Smith (Josie Goode-Smith), Nicole A. Smith, Jennette R. Smith, Bo Schumacher, Henry Schumacher and Isaak Schumacher; and her pets, Daisy, Daphne, Bova and Barklie.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (27308 108th Ave N, Port Byron, IL 61275).
