With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bette Rose Palmer of Port Byron, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Etta Bentley and Lincoln Bentley; her daughter Kellie McKay; and her grandson Dustin Palmer. She is survived by: her husband Carl Palmer; her children, Tara McKay (Randy) of Port Byron, Randy Palmer (Judie) of Virginia and Dirk Palmer (Bodil) of Florida; her brother Bobby Bentley of Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Kathryn Nichols (Brandon), Rachel McKay, Kory McKay, Mitchell McKay, Mathew McKay, Nelson McKay (Denise), Celeste McKay (Archie), Megan Porter (Eric) and Kaitlyn Palmer. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Port Byron United Methodist Church, Rivers Cities Rotary Club, or the Alzheimer's Association.
