She was predeceased by: her parents, Astrid Mathiesen (Oderud) and Alf Mathiesen; and her brother Harold Mathiesen (Jane). She is survived by: her husband Lucien "Matt" Jacobs; her children, Lora Adams Kopriva (Michael) and Larry Adams (Jessye Wright); her grandsons, Reid Adams and Dylan Wright Adams; and her nephews, Mitchell Mathiesen (K. C.), Bret Mathiesen and Bobby Poppett.

She handled her disease of Alzheimer's with much grace and strength.
