He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Baxter and LeeAnnie Baxter (Cornutt); and his siblings, Ona Baxter, Ruby Powers, Lorene Thompson, Vida Hall, Lena Holt, Herb Baxter, Johnnie Baxter, David Baxter, Walter Baxter and Sam Baxter.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Breeden; his children, Judith Luck (Keith) of Bolingbrook, IL, Larry Baxter (Mary Ann) of Lombard, IL, Steve Baxter of Rockford, IL and Timothy Baxter of Silvis, IL; his grandchildren, Heather Ackerman, Jesse Baxter, Paul Mikles, Cody Mikles, Nathan Baxter, Lucas Baxter and Danika Baxter; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Harrison Ackerman, Pearl and Paul Mikles (Roy); and his sister-in-law Jeannie Baxter.
Memorials may be made to Countryside Christian Church, or Unity Point Hospice.
