He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew John and Elizabeth Steffens (Wieczorek); and his wife Joanne Mrozinski. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Schorr, John Andrew Steffens (Marge) and Robert Leonard Steffens (Carol Marie).

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital of Shriners Hospitals for Children.
