It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy D. Bates of Poplar Grove, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Mendel and Betty Mendel (Gleason); her husband Robert Oates; and her grandson Adam Oates. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Rockey (Gary), Ken Oates (Elisa), Dennis Oates (Caroline), Rodney Oates (Elizabeth), Timothy Oates and Bethany Vacala (Charles); her grandchildren, Benjamin Rockey (Sarah), Mitchell Rockey (Laura), Vicki Griffin (Jake), Aaron Oates, Seth Oates, Brandan Oates, Kyler Oates, Nick Oates (Ann), Cody Oates, Clayton Oates (Hannah), Dallas Wolfisberg (Per), Dillon Oates and Hunter Schau; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin, James, Joy, Abbie Grace, Hannah, Averie, Jaxon, Noah, Teagan, Charles, Levi, Marion, Jack, William, Theodore, Warren, Sophia, Elijah and Taya.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Willow Funeral Home (1415 W Algonquin Rd, Algonquin, IL 60102). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
