We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2023, at the age of 79, Laney Ray Sommerfield of Poplar Grove, Illinois, born in Sparta, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sommerfield and Aletha Sommerfield (Glenn); his brothers, Mervin Sommerfield and Bobby Sommerfield; his nephews, Wayne Noth and Bradley Fuloton; his great grandchildren, Amelia and Cora Brickson; his niece Robin Meyer; and his nephew Tim Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Kalen; his children, Laresa Jennings (Rick), Daniel Sommerfield, Shannon Jefferson Serena (Charles), Kathleen, Marjorie Curtis (Jeff), Becky Woodrow (Michael) and Tina Tufly (Wayne); his siblings, Sandra Cayler (Robbie Loofboro), Sheila Briggs (late Rodney), Charlene Noth, Jackie Dunkin (late Doug) and Steven Sommerfield (Sue); and his half-sisters, Jill Litty and Jody Grawin. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
