He is survived by: his mother Mary Lou Ehardt (Elsen) of Tucson, AZ; his wife Wendy Ehardt; his children, Brette D., Kieth B. Hall, Melissa Collins (Daniel) of Phoenix, AZ and Joseph A. Ehardt II (Tabitha); his stepdaughters, Khara Amatangelo-Fenton, Tracy Masse and Kristina Hinojos (Adrian); his son-in-law Martin Avila, Sr.; his grandchildren, Brette, Kieth Hall, Jacob Billimack of Phoenix, AZ, Petra McMullen (Justin) of Copperas Cove, TX, Martin Avila, Jr., Juan, America, Jesse Avila, Alex Robbins, Joseph A. Ehardt III, Braxton, Charles Ehardt and Harvard; his stepgrandchildren, Nikolas, Chase Gibbs of Poplar Grove, IL, C. J. Ramirez (Jillian), Izik and Ella Howen of Olympia, WA; his stepgreat-grandson Corey "Trip" Rene Ramirez III; and his siblings, Kathy Beran, Tuscon, Judy Rynes (William) and David Ehardt (Suzanne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
