He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Clifton and Jean Clifton (Gaehle). He is survived by: his children, Trisha Williams of Belleville, IL and Gary Williams of Fairview Heights, IL; his grandsons, Jacob Cates and Josh Cates; his great grandchild Everleigh Cates; and his siblings, David Clifton (Becky) of Dallas, TX, Darin Clifton (Renee) of Webster Groves, MO, Diane Obannon (Mike) of Wildwood, MO, Donna Gardner (Jack) of Eureka, MO and Dana Clark (Pat) of Eureka, MO. He is also survived by nephew, many nieces and many extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Metro East Humane Society.
