With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Charles Hedges of Pontiac, Illinois, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on October 12, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Hedges and Naomi B. Hedges (Crawford); his wife Marjorie Ortegren; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Hedges, Bernadine Hedges, Melba Ortegren, Mildred Ortegren, Raymond and Bud Ortegren.
He is survived by: his children, Dwight Hedges (Julie) of Sun Lakes, AZ, Marcia Redmond (Wayne) of Brookland, AR and Sarah Petersen (Scott) of Pontiac, IL; his grandchildren, Sarah Lamkin (Ken), Tavis, Aaron, Emilee Redmond, Keeli Wolfer (Zac), Kolby Hedges, Kelcee Hedges, Julie Sancken (Brandon), Jamie Smith (Eric), Kristopher Petersen (Shelby), Lisa Moore (Kevin) and Lara Christopher (Josh Hinton); and his brothers, John Hedges (Clarice) of Albuquerque, NM, Gerald Hedges of Oklahoma City, OK, Dale Hedges of Central City, NE and Ned Hedges (Eola) of Lincoln, NE.. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
