He was predeceased by: his parents, Herb Knoll and Ruth Knoll (Church); his brother Jim Knoll; his brother-in-law Richard Haberkorn; and his nephew Matthew Haberkorn.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Sullivan; his daughters, Kimberly Monical (Marty) of Bloomington, IL and Kathryn Walsberg (Marty) of Pontiac, IL; his grandchildren, Hannah Jones (Jacob) of Overland Park, KS, Abigail Carter (Kris) of St. Charles, MO, Kelsey Walsberg and Colton Walsberg; his great grandchild Shaun Jones; his sister Dixie Haberkorn of Chatsworth; and his nephew Scott Haberkorn of Chicago, IL..
