He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Burke and Mary Helen Burke (Bradley); and his brother John Kevin Burke. He is survived by: his daughter Joanna; his son-in-law Steven Fief of Clarksville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Nora Catherine Fief and Gabriel James Fief; his siblings, Kathleen Burke and Dr. James B. Burke of Chicago; his sister-in-law Laurie Burke of Iowa; and his nieces and nephews, Megan A. Bowman (Matt) of Minnesota, Kyle P. Burke of Pontiac, Mary Kate Burke of Pontiac and Liam J. Burke of Pontiac. He is also survived by two great nieces and one great nephew, as well as cousins and countless friends.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mike's memory to the Clark Hose Company of the Pontiac Fire Department, to St. Mary's Grade School Building Fund or to Wesley Place-Chicago Methodist Senior Services.
