With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle R. Zehr (Pontiac, Illinois), born in Flanagan, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Zehr and Mae Zehr (Frobish); his wife Mary Louise Hopkins; his siblings, Donald Zehr and June Follmer; and his brother-in-law Chuck Follmer.
He is survived by: his children, Glenn Zehr (Jan) of Pontiac, IL, Mark Zehr (Kathy) of Chenoa, IL, Sandra Hoerner (Shelby) of Graymont, IL, Brenda Collins (Gary) of Flanagan, IL and Gloria Zehr of Pontiac, IL; his grandchildren, Lesley Hoerner, Sarah Hoerner, Jessica Collins (Clay Chipman), Ryan Collins (Jordy), Matt Zehr (Kaitlyn) and Jesse Geiger (Crystal); and his great grandchild Rylee Collins.
