With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kelly Jo Zehr of Pontiac, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Trainor and Dorothy Trainor (Paul). She is survived by: her children, Nici Zuffelato (Dustin) of Montana, Casey Augspurger (Tara) of Bloomington, IL, Amber Finnegan (John) of Pontiac, IL and Jake Zehr of Pontiac, IL; her grandchildren, Korbyn, Jacyannah, Johnny, Michael, Ryker, Lila, Huxley and Knox; her siblings, DeeDee Mattingly (Larry), Sydney Bourne (Robert) and Shawn Trainor; and her close friend Jay Kohn.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (119 E Howard St, Pontiac, IL 61764). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or The Philip and Joseph Trainor Scholarship for Nursing at Heartland, HCC Foundation, c/o Melissa Fasig, 1500 W. “Kelly was a wonderful person. She always included you in the conversation. She appreciate your efforts to assist her in whatever she was doing. Her love for her paient was evident in the time she spent in caring for them. She was the kind of nurse that would forget to put her own mask on trying to get her patient's on first. Her energy and zest will not be forgotten. To you all that have to live on without her, just know she left her mark here on earth and it was one that won't be forgotten.”
