He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald F. Murphy and Nettie Brougham Murphy (Walker); and his brother Richard K. Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Jodi Murphy (Mark Harkrader), Jill Whitmar (Richard) and Jon Murphy (Laurie); his grandchildren, Molly, Lauren, Joseph and Matthew; and also, Jaxon and Roman.
