He was predeceased by: his grandson Brian Bruce Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Walter Jr., Curtis, Amos, James, Earnest, Otis, Artis, Helen, Margaret, Doris and Bernice; his children, Timothy Collins and Janice Harris; his wife Minister Denease Mays; his children, John E Mays Jr. of Milwaukee, WI, Keith Mays of Milwaukee, WI, Albert Collins (Kesha), Edward Collins, Alice Thompson (Steven) and Marisha Hall (Aubra); and his close friend Charles Knight (Bone). He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
