He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick "Smokey" and Laverne Rathbun (Carpenter); and his sister Linda Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Susan Koenig; his children, Michelle Rathbun (Frank Thompson) of Pontiac and Joleen Bolen (Bob) of Odell; his grandchildren, Kylie Hinshaw, Ashleigh Hinshaw, Taylor Hinshaw, Carson Rathbun, Briar Bolen, Junior Bolen and Daphne Bolen; and his siblings, Fred Rathbun (Lois) of Joliet, Donnie Rathbun (Nancy) of Olathe, Wanda Thornton (Dan) of Wisconsin, Debbie Graves (Chuck) of Joliet, Cindy Rathbun of Peoria and Jim Dale Rathbun of Peoria.
