With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Bolz of Pontiac, Illinois, born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Brissenden and Josine Brissenden (Maxwell); her husband John; her grandsons, Casey and Stefan; her son-in-law Mick; and her sister Jeanne Lyons.
She is survived by: her friends, Jeanne Harris, Marian Hebenstreit and Rita Hart; her children, Susan Fordyce, Jim (Jane), Rick (Jenny) and Bob Bolz (Molly); her grandchildren, Courtney (Mark), Hillary (Tim), Paige (Scott), Bradley (Abby), Michael (Lauren), John, Maddy, Mac, Dewey, Kelly (Amanda) and Barry; her great grandchildren, Maxwell, Daisy, Sally, Ben, Hannah, Henry, Tony, Calvin, Lara, Stefan and Caroline; her niece Beth Ann Degenhart; her nephew David Eyre; her brother-in-law Harold Lyons; and her daughters-in-law, Molly and Jane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's name to the First United Methodist Church or the Pontiac Public Library.
