He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Haab and Laura Metz Haab; his wife Mary Lu McFarland; his sons, Dr. Roger Lee Haab (Kathleen) and David Ray Haab (Cathie); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" L. Haab and Elenore Ricketts. He was also cherished by four granddaughters, nine great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be given to the First United Methodist Church or South East Livingston County Ambulance Service, both in Fairbury.
