He is survived by: his wife Deborah McGuire; his children, Casie Valdez (Donald) of Pontiac, Gabriel Valdez III (Callista) of Pontiac and Madison Valdez (Nathan) of Pontiac; his stepson Jason Podgorny (Kim) of Winnipeg Canada; and his grandchildren, Donald, Remington and Sophia Elise.
