He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patrick and Ellen Catherine Mullen (Kuhn); his wife Phyllis A. Abels; his son Timothy John Mullen; his grandson Kevin Patrick Casson; and his siblings, John "Jake" Mullen, Donald "Joe" Mullen and Mary Goley.
He is survived by: his children, Michael P. Mullen (Debbie) of Ocean Pines, MD, Jorj Ann Casson of Pontiac, IL and Patsy M. Marchi (Greg) of Wilmington, NC; his sister Dorothy Klein of Chenoa, IL; his grandchildren, Jacie Friel (Stephen), Casey "Buck" Casson, Ryan Marchi, Keetin Marchi, Jackie Mullen, Brendan Mullen and Kendall Norris (Michael); and his close friend Jean Jones of Pontiac, IL..
