She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Martin and Rosa Martin (Evely); her husband Richard Louis Melton; and her sister Edith Paschke. She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Hayes (Richard) of New Lenox, IL and Gail Shaffer of Bloomington, IL; and her grandsons, Eric Hayes (Jennifer), Timothy Shaffer (Patty), Brian Hayes (Staci), Steve Shaffer (Bethany) and Marc Hayes (Amanda). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
