He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Houtzel and Ellen A. Houtzel (Madder); and his sister Nancy Houtzel. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Sutton; his children, Amanda K. Gordon (Mike) of Flanagan, IL, Kimberly C. Kovach (Dave) of Forrest, IL. and Joshua D. Houtzel (Tammy) of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Keira A. Kovach of Fairbury, Eric R. Gordon of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrea M. Gordon of Macomb, Machenzi J. Hursh (Dylan) of Leroy and Riley A. Houtzel of Bloomington; and his great grandchild Braxton J. Hursh.
