She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ray Welborn and Myrtle Welborn (Lemley); her husband John Calvin Carothers; her children, Linda Hoffman of Fairbury and John Carothers of Fort Myers, FL; her sister Carolyn Montgomery of Dexter, MO; and her granddaughters, Amy Jackson-Carothers, Laura Brauman (Matt), Jennifer Ward (Mark), Sharon Bachman, Rebecca Young and Kate Fehr (Luke). She was also cherished by 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Illinois Art Education Association or First Baptist Church of Fairbury.
