With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul E. Schmidt of Polo, Illinois, who passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Fern Hammer; and his siblings, Esther Garrison Avey, Albert, Walter and George Schmidt.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald Schmidt (JoDeen) of Eureka, IL., Charlie (Marjie Colloton) of Polo, Ray Schmidt of Pine Creek and Dan Schmidt (Tammy) of Polo; and his grandchildren, Jenny Lewis (Shawn), Janella Schmidt, Joanna Schmidt, Rachel Collins (Ben), Heidi and Hannah Schmidt. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
