He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Jo Ehnen (Traum); his stepmothers, Ethel Sturtz and Denise Sturtz; his half-brother Ryan Sturtz; his grandparents, Phil and Betty Sturtz; and his sister-in-law Amy Sturtz.

He is survived by: his father David Sturtz (Bonnie Sturtz); his stepsons, Cory Squires (Heaven) and Bryan Barkey (Bryttani); his brothers, Scott Sturtz (Cassie) and Kevin Sturtz (Cassie); his half-brother Chris Sturtz (Cassi); his stepbrothers, Danny Schrader (Betty) and Steve Schrader (Staci); his sisters, Brittany Bushman (Sam) and Candy Curran; his children, Jeremy Sturtz, Jr. (Christy), Kyle Sturtz (Ericka) and Trisheena Sturtz (David); and his mother-in-law Margie Thomas. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
