It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kavanaugh (Polo, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick E. Kavanaugh and Loretto Kavanaugh (Scanlan); his wife Joyce Geisert; his son Jim; his sister Marjorie Martin; and his son-in-law Frank Saaijenga.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Kavanaugh of Elgin and Kathy Saaijenga (Frank) of Polo; his daughter-in-law Karen Kavanaugh of Webster, TX; and his sons, Patrick Kavanaugh (Kirsten) of Dixon, Daniel Kavanaugh (Candice) of Westfield, IN, Kevin Kavanaugh (Anna) of California, Michael Kavanaugh (Julie) of Ashland, KY and Timothy Kavanaugh (Sue) of Dixon. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Polo Area Senior Center or Serenity Hospice and Home.
