With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lottie Layne (Pocahontas, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on February 19, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Meyers and Leone Meyers (Anderson); her sisters, Shirley Mize (Virgil) and Genelle Piskulic (George); and her sister-in-law Joan Martin (Wayne).
She is survived by: her husband Kenny Layne; her daughters, Lola Caruthers (Jan) and Linda Sidwell (Steve); her grandchildren, Julie Caruthers, Sarah Caruthers (Teck Kuoch) and Michael Sidwell; her great grandchild Grayson Sidwell; her stepgranddaughter Gail Courtney (Jerry); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Matthew Nation and Courtney Nation; and her nephews, Kurt Martin, KenRoy Martin (Gina) and Mark Mize.
In Lieu of flowers, Lottie would be honored to know donations had been made on her behalf to Shriner's Children's Hospital OR Vitas (Hospice Care) of Fairview Heights, who took excellent round-the-clock care of her; as well as giving comfort and support to her family.
