He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Compton and Louise Compton; his siblings, Donald Compton, Doris Cartwright and David Compton; and his great grandchild Sheridan Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Compton; his children, Denice Hemken (Carl), Ricky Compton (Velvet Balmer), Lisa Sautman (Scott) and Delmer Compton Jr. (Sheri); his grandchildren, Shawn Hemken, Kristy Compton, Nathan Tinker, Ryan Sautman (Josie), Eric Compton (Tiffany), Lindsay Horstmann (Shaun), Rachel Blumenstein (Jacob) and Leah Funderburk (Jake); his great grandchildren, Kinley, Kyson, Tristen, Max, Lauren, Lexi, Autumn, Skyla, Isaiah, Payton, John, James, Nora, Titus, Adah, Abel, Boaz and Lucas; and his brother Dean Compton (Opal). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
